st.paul's church, brentford, west london.
Tasked with the intricate refurbishment and re-imagination of this huge Gothic church, Jacqueline worked conscientiously to align historical architecture with the needs of a contemporary community. The church needed a space which could deliver a multitude of functions and create a welcoming environment for a hugely diverse range of visitors, new and old.
The transformed church now seamlessly accommodates a bustling eatery (Spire Café), dedicated meeting spaces, a children’s play area and admin offices. Jacqueline’s adept co-ordination working with the church governing bodies, local authorities and skilled tradespeople underlines the project’s success.

'I like what they’ve done with the Spire Café...a dreary old environment has been improved massively'
Guy Lambert
West Brentford Councillor
‘Jacky managed the £200k refurbishment of St Paul’s …she has a great eye for what looks good, has a warm professional manner and will quickly get to work meeting your organisation’s needs and wants…we’d recommend her!’
Reverend Sarah Guinness

brentford school for girls, west london.
This high achieving state school in West London approached Jacqueline to co-ordinate the extensive refurbishment of key buildings on its site. The work presented a unique challenge; to harmonise disparate architectural buildings in order to achieve a cohesive, contemporary school environment, reflective of this vibrant community.
Jacqueline set to work re-imagining the spaces; talking to staff and students to identify their ambitions and then designing schemes which felt fresh, innovative and reflective of the school’s ethos. Walking the school grounds the aesthetic reflects an environment where welfare is highly valued, the working environment is prioritised and where students and staff can thrive.

about.
Jacqueline Douglas is a designer, based in West London.
Graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art with a First Class Degree, Jacqueline began her career as a textile designer, creating designs for the fashion and Interiors industry. Her work now revolves around interior design and the commission of her paintings and bespoke wall hangings.
A keen painter, Jacqueline loves to imbue an artist's eye to her work. The scale and type of her projects vary, but the desire to explore colour, texture and narrative prevails.
Her Anglo Caribbean heritage has provided a unique outlook and she has written on the subject of race, identity and Caribbean design. Her heritage inspires her work and has motivated project work with charities and community groups that oppose inequality and work to counter modern slavery.
Creative passion and verve is born out of all of these interests and experiences and through it she offers forward thinking design to all of her clients.
